World Famous Tio's
Tio's again from the other side. The palm trees in front are probably gone now.
You can go here to see the difference. There are a few palm trees missing.
Inside Tio's. Tables are usually where the dirt is now.
The shack that is almost not there now use to be a viable place to eat. In the next photo you can see it is not really there any more.
The blue posts and falling down roof is the front of the shack in the previous photo. I watched this place slowly go to hell the previous evening while scarfing down some mole enchiladas at the Arco Iris. It was pretty sad to see the owners scrambling to save whatever they could. I have to say though, that the view will be better with this eyesore out of the way. You really can't blame the owners. Colotepec gives them the permit to build these places.
Military are keeping the peace. The radio is brodcasting all morning about the "disaster."
This is an example of the "waves braking the horizon."
This photo was taken from in front of the Santa Fe and as you can see the waves look small but when you consider you are almost a half mile away they are very large. I don't have another photo to compare it to but will post one once the swell drops.
